Your presence here is truly valued, and I appreciate your time and uniqueness. Let me take a moment to introduce myself..
When I was in 8th grade, one afternoon changed my life forever. As the school bell rang at 4 p.m., most of my classmates hurried home, chatting and laughing as they packed up. But I stayed behind, determined to solve one last math problem. Just then, my math teacher, Mr. Shyam Sundar, approached me with a warm smile and a sparkle in his eye. 'Mohan,' he said, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder, 'I want you to have this blackboard because I believe in you. You’re destined to become the greatest teacher!'
His words hit me like a wave of inspiration, and my heart swelled with emotion. Tears welled up in my eyes—not from sadness, but from the overwhelming joy of knowing someone saw greatness in me. In that moment, I wasn’t just a student; I was someone with a future full of possibilities.
Looking back now, I realize the immense power of Mr. Shyam Sundar’s belief in me. His simple gesture sparked a passion for learning and teaching that has guided me throughout my life. His words have been the compass directing my journey, pushing me to never stop growing, learning, and sharing knowledge.
Thank you, Mr. Shyam Sundar Sir, for seeing in me what I couldn't yet see in myself. Your faith and mentorship planted the seed for everything I’ve achieved, and your wisdom continues to light the way as I strive to inspire others on their journeys..
At just 19 years old, fresh from completing my pre-university course in Science, my dreams stretched as wide as the horizon. I saw myself as a software engineer, thriving in the fast-paced tech world of America. The excitement in my heart was palpable, and I was ready to chase my ambitions with all my might.
But reality hit hard. My parents, who worked tirelessly in a stone quarry, celebrated my dreams with pride. Yet, my father, with tears in his eyes, gently told me the truth: we simply didn’t have the financial means to support a four-year engineering degree. In that moment, my dreams seemed to shatter, and I felt the crushing weight of disappointment.
For two days, I was consumed by despair. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep—the future I had envisioned felt impossibly out of reach. But in the midst of that darkness, a spark of hope ignited. As I wandered aimlessly around my home, my eyes fell on a blackboard gifted by my math teacher, Mr. Shyam Sundar. His voice echoed in my mind: “I see your potential—you’ll be the greatest teacher. Keep learning, and keep sharing your knowledge.”
His words became my beacon. With renewed determination, I decided to take control of my destiny. Instead of giving up, I launched Swami Vivekananda Tuition Classes, teaching math, science, and English to 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students. I poured my heart into teaching, helping students who once struggled to pass their exams achieve results they had never imagined.
Watching those students succeed reignited my belief in myself. What started as a setback became the foundation of something far greater. I realized that even when life’s circumstances seem insurmountable, resilience and self-belief can carve a path to success. Today, I continue to embrace that lesson, helping others realize their own potential and inspiring them to chase their dreams, no matter the obstacles.
This journey, born from adversity, transformed me from a young man with shattered dreams to a mentor who empowers others to overcome their challenges and reach new heights.
My tuition classes quickly gained momentum, and I saved every penny I earned with one goal in mind: to become a software engineer. My heart never wavered, even when the path seemed uncertain. Although I couldn’t gather enough funds for a full four-year engineering degree in just one year, I refused to let that stop me. I found a new way forward—a three-year Diploma in Engineering. With determination, I seized every opportunity, excelling in my studies and proving that no dream is too far out of reach with hard work and persistence.
From Call Center to Software Engineer: My Inspiring Journey of Career Transformation
In January 2006, I arrived in Bangalore with nothing but a diploma in E& C engineering, a dream as big as the city itself, and a heart filled with determination to become a software engineer. The reality, however, was harsh. Despite sending out countless job applications, rejection was all I encountered. I had no experience and no way to break into the software industry I longed to be part of.
With survival becoming a priority, I took a job as a Customer Service Representative(CSR) at Amex Credit Card Call Center, entering the world of BPOs, just to stay afloat. For four long months, I worked tirelessly, but my heart never left my dream.
Then came a role at ITC InfoTech’s BPO division, where I interacted with U.S. customers, improving my English skills and gaining more experience. Yet, the night shifts drained me. My health deteriorated, and soon, I was struck with severe illness, falling into stress and depression. I had no choice but to quit.
But even then, the dream didn’t die.
I knew I was meant for something more. After taking time to refocus, I re-entered the job market, this time determined to leave the BPO world behind and secure the software engineer position I had always wanted. In April 2019, the impossible happened. I was offered a role as a software engineer at Goldman Sachs, one of the world’s most prestigious investment banks..
From that moment, my life transformed. While working at Goldman Sachs, I completed my Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering. I had reached the career I had dreamed of, against all odds. From there, I went on to enjoy a successful career in several MNCs, finally living the life I once thought was out of reach.
This isn’t just my story—it’s proof that no matter where you start, your dream is achievable. If you're feeling stuck, trapped in a call center or BPO role, longing for a career in software engineering but thinking it's too late, I want you to know that it isn’t. I’ve been where you are, and I know the way forward.
Now, it’s your turn. Let my journey inspire yours. Together, we can turn your aspirations into reality. Reach out, and we’ll begin your transformation today.
From Nagarahalli to New York: Mohan’s Incredible Journey from Small Village to Big Dreams via Bangalore!
In 2016, a childhood dream I had carried with me from the small village of Nagarahalli finally came true—I became a software engineer at a prestigious American multinational company. After six intense rounds of interviews, one evening I opened my inbox to see an offer letter from Citigroup Technology. I had been chosen to join their New York team as a Tech Architect. My heart raced as I realized that my life was about to change forever.
The challenges were immense, but so was the fulfillment. At Citibank, I played a pivotal role in designing projects that pushed the boundaries of innovation. A breakthrough moment came when I developed an AI-based mortgage recovery model, earning me the "Technical Excellence Star" award. It was a moment of pure pride, cementing my place in the world of tech. I even had the chance to speak at AI and machine learning conferences, sharing my expertise with global audiences.
Yet, despite my success in the U.S., something within me called me back home. I realized that my true purpose wasn’t just about my achievements but about empowering others to reach their dreams too. I returned to India to work as a Solution Architect and, more importantly, to guide aspiring software engineers. Now, I help others transform their lives—just as I did mine.
Now, it’s your turn. If I can make the leap from a small village in India to the top of the tech world in New York, so can you. Let my story be the spark that ignites your own journey to success. Join me, and together, we’ll turn your dreams into reality.
